 Homework

See Daily Planner Monday-Thursday

(Please check for specific Math and Reading assignments each night. If your child is absent, please call the office and I will send work for you to pick up)

Not all math and reading homework assignments will be from a textbook. There may be math and reading sheets in the homework folder. It is very important that our students be responsible for completing daily planners and taking homework folders home.

Our fourth graders need to read nightly. This may be  books, magazines, articles, etc. of your child's choice. Please remind your child how important it is to read outside of school. Ask your child to tell you about what  he/she is reading. I will assign one written book report each nine weeks.

Your child will be given new spelling words each Monday. We will work on these words each day. It will be necessary to do some work at home in order to prepare for the spelling test. We will also be using   these words in writing assignments. It would be very helpful if you could give a practice test on each week's words before Friday's test.
