About Longview Elementary

There are approximately 400 students enrolled in Longview’s preK-5 classrooms.  We are the home of the Lions.   We at Longview absolutely love our school!  It is an “inviting place” for both students and their parents.  We have high expectations for our students, and work hard to help them meet those expectations.  We want the very best for our students.  Our consistent success over the years is attributed to the high level of commitment and hard work from our teachers, staff, students, parents, and community volunteers.  We as a staff promise to do our best to help all Longview students succeed to the best of their ability.

We focus on teaching the mind (academics) and the heart (character).

Our Character Education Motto is:

“Do the RIGHT Thing.”  RIGHT stands for Respect, Integrity, Generosity, Honesty, and Together (students and staff).

Our Commitment to Character, recited by all students and staff each morning, is:

“In order to improve myself, and my school, today I will – respect myself, others, and school property…be honest and truthful…be responsible…be kind and caring.”
