Hickory High School Homecoming & Championship Ring Ceremony
HICKORY, NC – Hickory High School is delighted to announce the successful culmination of an unforgettable evening that celebrates the achievements of its outstanding students. On Friday, October 6th, the school hosted a special event combining the Homecoming Court, the State Tennis Team, and the State Outdoor Track Triple Jump Champions Ring Ceremonies in one memorable night.
The event took place before and during their regular season football game and was a night filled with pride, achievement, and community spirit.
- State Champion Outdoor Track Triple Jump: The 2023 Outdoor Track & Field Triple Jump Champion, Kwan Oates, was presented with his championship ring.
- State Champion Tennis Team: The State Champion Tennis Team was presented their championship rings before the game. 2023 Hickory High School Boys Tennis Team: Keller Armstrong, Ben Howard, Macen Lineberger, Griffin Lovern, Owen Maur, Will Moore, Jack Nexsen, Clint Powers, Graham Powers, Carter Sigmon, Watts Tate, Parker Yount, Alex King Assistant Coach, Andre Simeon Assistant Coach, and Mike Graham Head Coach
- Homecoming Court: Hickory High School proudly crowned the 2023 Homecoming Queen Kaylee Hightower and Princess Monnie Byrd. Additional members of the Homecoming Court include Emery Byrd, Lucy Rose Leilani East, Allie Elder, London Morgan, Addison Byrd, Andrea Flores, Ashayla Craig, Briana Guerrero, Ava Hines, Samiya Hines-Smith, Aniah Jones, Je’Mya Propst, Zoe Bridgewood, and Jayla Walls.
Parents, students, teachers, and community members celebrated this special evening of achievement and school spirit. The event was open to the public, and attendees had the opportunity to witness the presentation of rings and the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and Princess.
