The State of North Carolina is launching the new SUN Bucks Program, a food assistance program that will provide benefits to qualifying students and families to help purchase healthy foods during the summer months.
Eligible students may receive their SUN Bucks card this summer at their mailing address on file at their school. If your student participates in any of the following programs: (FNS “SNAP”, TANF, Work First, Medicaid, or Foster care), they may automatically qualify to receive SUN Bucks this summer. Families not receiving these benefits but feel they may qualify will be able to apply with DHHS in the near future.
Take action now: Please confirm by March 28, 2024 that the mailing address on file with your school is up to date with the best address for the summer months.
If you feel that the school does not have your correct address please complete
