On Friday, November 4th, Karen Ingram, Hickory Public Schools Career and Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator, received a plaque, from Sharon Johnson with iCEV, for 100% credential mastery during the 2022 Summer Bridge Program, for rising 9th-grade students who scored a 4 or higher on their 8th-grade math end of grade (EOG) test. Ms. Ingram stated, “This was a new and exciting opportunity that we were able to provide for our students and we are elated at the results and look forward to a continuing partnership with iCEV for future educational opportunities.”
The plaque will be hung at Hickory Career and Arts Magnet High School where the Career & Technical Education (CTE) teacher, Megan “Paige” Walker works. Ms. Walker taught 20 students during the summer program where all earned their industry-recognized credentials in iCEV’s Express Employment Professionals Career Preparedness Certification. On Monday, November 14th, iCEV presented Ms. Walker with a plaque, at the school.
iCEV’s website states, “the Express Employment Professionals Career Preparedness Certification verifies individuals possess the skills necessary to discover, pursue and successfully achieve career goals.” The 100-question exam assesses the knowledge of the following industry standards: Career Aptitude & Assessment, Personal Development, Education & Training Analysis, Professional Development, Job Application Techniques, Workplace Regulations & Standards, and Interview Techniques.
