Hickory High's first sign in 50 years
06/09/2022
The current building for Hickory High School opened in 1972. The final costs approached $6 million by 1976 with the addition of the gymnasium and the music department. A sign identifying the school was placed roadside. However, a sign on the main building was never included in that original budget. So for 50 years, since the opening of the school, the main building of Hickory High was nameless. Until now.
